Lee County, FL — A man has been arrested on DUI charges after causing a crash at Del Prado Boulevard S and SE 22nd Terrace in Cape Coral.
Cape Coral Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 2:18 PM Saturday afternoon.
According to a CCPD Sergeant, a woman was driving down Del Prado Blvd, crossing the intersection at SE 22nd Terrace on a green light, when the at-fault vehicle turned in front of her and stuck her vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained minor damages and pulled into the parking lot at 2139 Del Prado Blvd S following the crash.
CCPD confirms that the man was under the influence of an unknown substance at the time of the crash and has been arrested on DUI charges.
No injuries have been reported.
As CCPD was investigating this crash, a second crash occurred in the next-door parking lot when a man was struck by a vehicle near Chipotle.
CCPD is also investigating a third crash near the same parking lot when a CCFD rescue truck struck the mirror of an LCEMS ambulance.
The offender's vehicle has since been towed and the scene has cleared.
The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating.
