Lee County, FL — A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after crashing into a sedan at Metro Parkway and Arc Way in Fort Myers.
South Trail Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 12:42 PM Wednesday afternoon.
Fire & EMS radio communications indicate that the approximately 60-year-old male motorcyclist was ejected 30 feet from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria.
He was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
The female driver of the sedan says she was attempting to drive onto Metro Pkwy from Arc Way when she entered the path of the motorcycle, causing the collision.
An additional person sustained minor injuries but refused medical care.
One northbound lane of Metro Pkwy is closed.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
