Lee County, FL — Firefighters have successfully knocked down the second structure fire in less than 24 hours at The Retreat at Vista Lake Apartments at 3635 Winkler Avenue in Fort Myers.
Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the fire at 3:54 PM Sunday afternoon.
Initial reports indicate that the incident is a cooking fire and originated from the kitchen area of the apartment.
The fire was put out within 5 minutes of firefighters putting water on it.
Multiple apartment units have reportedly sustained water damage.
It is unknown if any injuries have been reported.
