Collier County, FL — At least four people have been injured after a two-vehicle accident left an SUV on its roof in a canal near 9950 Goodlette-Frank Road N in North Naples.
North Collier Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 9:07 AM Sunday morning.
A Level 1 MCI (Mass Casualty Incident) was declared due to the number of patients involved.
Fire & EMS radio communications indicate one person, an approximately 74-year-old female, was declared a “Trauma Alert” and transported to NCH Baker Hospital.
Initial reports indicate an approximately 64-year-old male driver lost consciousness before the crash occurred. The driver along with an approximately 64-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to NCH North Hospital.
An approximately 67-year-old female was also transported with minor injuries to NCH Northeast Hospital.
Goodlette-Frank Rd N is shutdown between Creekside Pkwy and Vanderbilt Beach Road as crews work to clear the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
