9:30 AM — FMPD confirms that the pedestrian in this incident has been pronounced dead.
Officers say the woman was not crossing at a designated crosswalk when she was struck by the van.
All lanes of Lee Blvd have since reopened.

Lee County, FL — A pedestrian has been critically injured after being struck by a vehicle at Lee Boulevard and Olympia Pointe Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
Lehigh Acres Fire and Fort Myers Fire crews responded to the incident at 7:05 AM Friday morning.
Fire & EMS radio communications indicate an approximately 27 year-old female was transported in “Traumatic Cardiac Arrest” to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
No other injuries were reported.
The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating.
