2:12 PM — The Fort Myers Police Department confirms the suspect involved in a stabbing next to the Caloosahatchee Bridge late Monday night will not be charged in connection with this incident.
A new video obtained by UCBN shows the suspect yelling as he is seen stabbing the victim several times on the sidewalk before the bridge.
FMPD confirms that the victim was not forthcoming with information and chose not to pursue criminal charges.
The man sustained non-life threatening injuries from the attack.
The suspect's motive is unclear and no further details have been made available.

Lee County, FL — A man has been seriously injured after being stabbed near the sidewalk by the Caloosahatchee Bridge in North Fort Myers.
North Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 10:26 PM Monday night.
The incident was initially reported at North Shore Park but officers could be seen investigating farther north on N Cleveland Ave near the sidewalk of the bridge.
Fire & EMS radio communications indicate that the approximately 40-year-old male victim was stabbed with a filet knife and transported as a "Trauma Alert" to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
One southbound lane of US-41 was previously blocked but has since reopened.
The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating.
