Lee County, FL — One person has been seriously injured after a Ford F150 pickup truck crashed into a concrete pole at S Tamiami Trail and W Terry Street in Bonita Springs.

Bonita Springs Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 10:32 AM Tuesday.



According to the BSFD, their crews arrived on scene in less than ten seconds.

The approximately 50-year-old man inside of the vehicle was transported by LeeFlight helicopter to Gulf Coast Medical Center with serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria.

All southbound lanes of S Tamiami Trl are shut down at W Terry St.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
