Collier County, FL — The Naples Police Department confirms the 911 call that reported a shooting at the Naples High School was determined to be a hoax.
The 911 call was received at 1:40 PM Friday afternoon triggering the major response to 1100 Golden Eagle Circle in Naples.
Naples Police Department officers, Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Naples Fire, Greater Naples Fire, North Collier Fire and Collier County EMS crews all responded to the scene.
Golden Gate Parkway was immediately shutdown between US-41 and Goodlette-Frank Road N as a perimeter was established around the school.
By 2:35 PM the Naples Police Department confirmed the incident was a hoax.
