Teen arrested after shooting on Westclox St in Immokalee

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirms Jesus Correa, 16, of Immokalee has been arrested on felony charges in connection with this incident.

The report indicates Correa was traveling down Westclox Street in a vehicle with three other juveniles when they saw the victim walking along the road.

A verbal argument ensued between the driver of the vehicle and the victim.

The driver says the victim pulled a firearm and shot at this vehicle. At that moment Correa, from the backseat of the vehicle, pulled a firearm and shot back at the victim as they drove away, striking the victim once in the right thigh.

Correa agreed to meet with deputies later that evening and provided his account of the incident. Correa was placed under arrest for his involvement in the shooting.

Correa has been charged with Aggravated Battery with the use of a deadly weapon and shooting a missile from a vehicle.

Correa has been released to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Collier County, FL — Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies confirm a suspect is still at large after reportedly shooting a teenage male in the leg in the 3400 block of Westclox Street in Immokalee.

Deputies along with Immokalee Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 4:39 PM Wednesday afternoon.

The injured male has been transported to a local hospital.

Deputies say the identity of the suspect is not known.
