Lee County, FL — A pedestrian has died after they were struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Colonial Boulevard just west of Solomon Boulevard in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 10:22 PM Tuesday night.

FMPD Officers could be seen performing CPR on the victim before being pronounced dead on the scene at 10:29 PM.

An FMPD Sergeant has confirmed that the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

All eastbound lanes of Colonial Blvd are shut down at Fowler St.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating the incident as a fatal hit-and-run.
