5:00 AM — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirms the adult male victim has died from his injuries after a shooting occurred outside the residence on 28th Street SW.
This is now an active homicide investigation.
Deputies say this is an isolated incident.

Lee County, FL — One adult male and one teenage male have been injured after a shooting at 5315 28th Street SW in Lehigh Acres.
Fort Myers Fire, Lehigh Acres Fire, and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 7:09 PM Tuesday evening.
Initial reports indicate that a 25-year-old man was critically injured after he sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The second victim, a 15-year-old male, was reportedly a bystander to the shooting and was grazed by two bullets to both of his legs.
The 15-year-old male's injuries met "Trauma Alert" criteria and both victims were transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
Around 9 LCSO vehicles could be seen surrounding a second scene at 5246 26th St SW where an individual was being questioned by LCSO and several others were seated in the front lawn.
As of 8:00 PM, deputies have confirmed that a suspect has not been taken into custody.
LCSO drones could be seen hovering over the area for several hours.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
