Lee County, FL — A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after crashing on S Tamiami Trail at Pelican Landing Parkway in Bonita Springs.
Bonita Springs Fire, Estero Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 5:33 PM Sunday afternoon.
Fire & EMS radio communications indicate that the approximately 55-year-old male lost control of his motorcycle, crashed, and was ejected onto the roadway.
He sustained serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria and was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
The right southbound lane of US-41 south of Pelican Colony Pkwy remains blocked at this time.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
