One dead after crash on Three Oaks Pkwy in Estero

Lee County, FL — At least one person is dead after a crash involving multiple motorcycles, a car, and a bicyclist on Three Oaks Parkway just north of Corkscrew Road in Estero.

Estero Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 7:29 PM Tuesday evening.

Reports of a second crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist were received at 7:33 PM.

The following information has been sourced from Fire & EMS radio communications. These details have not been independently confirmed by FHP:

The bicyclist who was struck by a car is approximated to be between 30 and 40 years old.

He sustained critical injuries and was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center in cardiac arrest.

A 22-year-old woman involved in the motorcycle crash sustained serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria.

She was also transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Two other people in the crash sustained minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that at least one person has died.

Three motorcycles could be seen on the scene, two of which sustained damages.

It is unknown whether or not the motorcycle crash and bicyclist-involved crash are related.

All northbound lanes of Three Oaks Pkwy are shut down at Corkscrew Rd.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
