Lee County, FL — Two people have been injured, including an LCSO deputy, after a three-vehicle rear-end crash on Alico Road just south of the Michael G. Rippe Parkway overpass in Fort Myers.

San Carlos Park Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 4:42 PM Thursday afternoon.

The driver of the red sedan says he was traveling westbound on Alico Rd when he abruptly slowed down for traffic from another crash, causing the deputy to rear-end his vehicle.

He did not sustain any injuries.

The female deputy and an occupant of the third vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The LCSO vehicle sustained minor damages.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
