Two dead, four injured after jet crashes on I-75 in Naples

Preliminary reports indicate two people have died and four have been injured after a twin-engine jet landed on I-75 and struck a pickup truck before catching fire.

Two people on the plane have died and another three have been injured. The driver of the pickup truck involved was also injured.

FlightAware information shows the aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 604 (N823KD) was traveling from Columbus to Naples.

The FAA expects I-75 between Pine Ridge Road and Golden Gate Parkway to be completely shutdown for at least the next 24 hours as the investigation continues.

Collier County, FL — A small jet has crashed and caught fire on I-75 near the 105 mile marker in Naples.

Greater Naples Fire, North Collier Fire, Naples Fire Rescue and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 3:11 PM Friday afternoon.

All of I-75 is completely shutdown.
