Lee County, FL — Multiple residents have been displaced after a fire sparked near the garage of a home at 1418 SE 2nd Street in Cape Coral.
Cape Coral Fire crews responded to the incident at 2:23 AM Sunday morning.
The cause of the fire remains unknown but appears to have originated in the garage.
Firefighters had to use a saw to cut the garage door open in order to extinguish the flames.
All occupants of the home were able to evacuate safely and have since been displaced due to the damages.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
The Cape Coral Fire Department is investigating.
